Those Eyes - A poem about heart break, betrayal with no escape
63Those Eyes
Eyes piercing, through the walls they're anticipating
Watching, waiting. . . I feel them contemplating
THE DEATH OF ME
Every breath captured, spilling into black pupils
There's no escape..................
The still of the night attempts her
condescending blanket
of darkness
upon me
to no avail
Still those EYES............
seeks the heat of my soul, finds me curled up like
a fetus escaping the wombs of my hell but
THERE'S NO ESCAPE
through the passages of my mind,
wind down,
on a decline,
to dine
with the devil himself

I enjoyed this variation of form from your first poem I read.
So incredibly powerful. The foetal position is resorted to in times of very deep despair yet the womb is hell itself - this concept provides so much weight to your words "But THERE IS NO ESCAPE"
I like your poetry very much. My votes to you.
